Part - time is less than 3 units.

Fine Arts Program Tuition$18,689/quarter

3 to 4 credits/term.

Tuition is billed on the first invoice for each quarter.

Tuition MA* part-time only$5,576/unit

*Counseling and Family Therapy

This rate applies only to those students in the online MA counseling program who are taking fewer than three credits/term.

The Family Institute Fee* $215

* The technical fee is a one-time fee that will cover the software license of an application for clinical tracking.

TGS U-Pass Transit Card Fee$125/quarter

Provides unlimited rides on CTA trains and buses. Optional for all full-time enrolled students, except for those enrolled in 512, 513, 514, 506, 507 or 508. You can find more information at:

Student Health Fee$276/quarter

Charged in Fall, Winter and Spring terms. Covers the use of Health Services for programs housed on Evanston or Chicago campuses.

For graduate and professional students, the health services fee will now be charged to students with regular access to on-campus health services. The student health fee, and other funding sources, provides ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵstudents with equitable access to a variety of health services at the university including: ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵMedicine Student Health Service in Evanston and Chicago, Counseling & Psychological Services, TimelyCare services, and other on-campus health and wellness initiatives.

NU-SHIP Annual Premium$5,571/year

All degree-seeking students are required to have health insurance coverage either through the ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ/Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan or the student’s own health insurance carrier. Students who take no action will default to the ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ/Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan and be charged accordingly. See  and  for more information.

Special course tuition

  • 512 Continuous Registration: $100/quarter ( 512 Continuous Registration is a full-time registration intended for students who are continuing to work in a full-time capacity toward degree completion)
  • 588 Resident Master's Study: $7,436/quarter (588  Resident Master's Study is available to master's degree students who are receiving funding administered by the University)
