As an Assistant Director of Career Management, Sarah works with students in the Medill School of Journalism and the School of Education and Social Policy. Sarah first joined NCA as a graduate intern in 2018, and returned as full time staff in 2023.
Sarah earned her Bachelors of Arts and Sciences in Psychology and Communications from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Masters of Education in Counseling with a specialization in College Counseling and Student Affairs from DePaul University. Before joining NCA, Sarah was an Assistant Director of Career Development at Northwestern's Engineering Career Development office in McCormick and was previously a graduate intern at NCA providing career counseling to students across all colleges at Northwestern.
In another life, Sarah might have been an interior designer, writer, or anything that would allow her to live in Italy! Sarah also likes spending her time thrifting for antique or vintage home decor, cooking with family or friends, and spending time outdoors.
Sarah’s favorite advice for students: “Always be working on getting to know yourself - whether through assessment and reflection, trying new experiences, or exploring different career paths. The better you know yourself, the better prepared you will be to make decisions!”
